The Kingdom's crown
Lays unclaimed
Under a bridge
You'll find the King's remains
War is over
Invasion has begun
Druids leads insurgents
As the poets scatter
Children run in fear
Mother's in despair
Ground covered with cadavers
Death is in the air
No shelter to find
As you watch the villages burn
Screams of slaughter
Echo through the mountains
Comes an eclipse
That blocks out the sun
Reigning for night and day
Until the King's body is found
The Black King Is the proof
That even upon his throne
The Picts cannot be ruled
Feral highland savages
A proud people
Who were once their own Kings
Will not bow down
To foreign claimants
Send your armies
We pick death over servitude
You will see
It can be taken but never held
The Kingdom's crown
Lays unclaimed
Under a bridge
You'll find the King's remains

This album is SO GOOD! Truly a hidden gem. I love everything about this album, from the acoustic guitar playing to the gritty vocals. Kick ass metal album. DFusion

I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross! Peikonmieli
Tokyo band contrast black metal's brutal complexity with shoegaze's abyssal grandeur, resulting in an LP that feels crushing, yet infinite. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 24, 2022

Absolutely strong, black and bitter, like a cup of good old coffee or a properly packed pipe of strong tobacco. The album won't let you go unless you listen through it since the very first minute to the very last one, sunken in the frozen obsydian abyss. 10/10. lanserger22
